Infrastructure Access Governance

Resolve Infrastructure Access Risks Without Breaking Services.

Service accounts, credentials and infrastructure identities can outlive teams and applications. Revoking access may be necessary, but doing so without understanding ownership and dependencies can interrupt production.

The non-human identity problem

A service identity may be used by jobs, deployed applications, automation or shared infrastructure. A name or directory record may not reveal which team is accountable or where a credential is actually used.

Add infrastructure context to the access decision

Precize helps teams understand responsible owners, associated infrastructure and operational dependencies so access reviews and cleanup can be routed appropriately.

Govern revocation

Before disabling a key or identity, validate its purpose and dependency chain, select the permitted change path and ensure appropriate approval and rollback procedures. Precize supports the information and workflows needed for these decisions.

Example: former employee-linked service credential

A credential has historical links to a departed employee but may still power a production integration. The correct response is not blind deletion: first identify the owning team, consumers and rotation path, then revoke through a governed workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Talk to our team ↗

Why is service-account ownership difficult?

Service identities may be created automatically, reused across systems or linked to employees who later change roles. Their directory labels may not capture current technical and operational accountability.

What should be checked before revoking an infrastructure credential?

Identify the credential owner, services and jobs using it, dependent systems, business criticality, alternate credentials, rotation process, monitoring, approval authority and rollback approach.

How is this different from IAM?

IAM controls identities, authentication and entitlements. Precize focuses on the infrastructure context and decision implications around those identities, complementing the systems that enforce access.

Can Precize revoke every token and key?

No universal revocation capability should be implied. Supported actions depend on the target identity provider, cloud service, integration and configured workflow. Precize can provide context and support governed workflows within those boundaries.
